Good to know
You can easily walk to the French Quarter from the here. Just two blocks away is Esplanade Avenue, which leads directly there. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. The walk is lovely because Esplanade Avenue is lined with massive live oak trees and lush gardens. Also, don't forget to visit Lil' Dizzy's restaurant on your way – it's an excellent place for an authentic New Orleans breakfast! If walking isn't your preferred mode of transportation, Uber and Lyft are always available and typically just a minute away. A ride to the top tourist attractions like Frenchmen Street, Bourbon Street, and Jackson Square usually costs $8-$10. Additionally, two bike rental racks (with motorized assists) are located a few blocks away, providing a fantastic way to explore the city. These rentals operate on a pay-as-you-go basis and can be left anywhere inside the zone you rented them in. If you ride them home, you can lock them up on the sidewalk since it's the same zone. In addition to a unique and affordable place to stay, you'll benefit from my extensive knowledge of the city. I'm well-equipped to offer tailored recommendations based on your vacation preferences. Should you prefer to plan your itinerary, that's perfectly fine, too. However, you can always expect my top-notch hospitality and customer service during your visit. The City of New Orleans fully licenses this rental: STR License #22-RSTR-01614, Operator’s License #22-OSTR-01357, and employs people who live in the neighborhood. While staying at Grey Gardens NOLA, you support New Orleans's local economy
Other Details to Note
Certainly! Below is the revised text for clarity and correctness: 1. On holidays and special event days such as Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Voodoo Festival, New Year's Eve, Essence Festival, etc., the cleaning fee will be $125 instead of the regular fee. This will be reconciled through the Airbnb Resolution Center after you book. 2. I have a strict no pets policy due to several medically documented allergies. Anyone sneaking animals onto the property is subject to a $250 cleaning fee and $50 per day that the animal is on the property. Please refrain from doing this. Additionally, due to my allergies, I have a waiver from Airbnb, and I do not accept any service animals, including “emotional support animals”. 3. Smoking of any products, including tobacco, marijuana, etc., is not allowed. This includes vapes. Anyone smoking in the unit is subject to a $250 cleaning fee. 4. As a responsible homeowner, I have a Nest camera system to monitor the property's exterior. 5. Anyone checking out excessively late will be subject to a $100 late fee.

Neighborhood
I am conveniently located just two blocks from beautiful tree-lined Esplanade Avenue. The location is unique and special because it’s so close to the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street (the best place to hear great music), and City Park. It's a great place to stay if you want to be close to all the action without paying high hotel prices. It's just an $8 Uber ride to Frenchmen Street, where you can eat, sing, and dance all night! And there's more! On Sundays, you’ll see a huge block party at Kermit Ruffin’s famous Mother In Law Lounge, which is located just four blocks away. If the Saints win, it’ll be an even bigger celebration! We also have a funeral home around the corner, so you may even witness a Jazz Funeral procession pass near the house. This is a unique cultural experience that many tourists don't get to see. During the season, on Second Line Sundays, things heat up. These second lines are hosted by the many Social Aid And Pleasure Clubs of New Orleans to bring the community together. Do a search for Second Line & New Orleans to learn more. During Mardi Gras, you will see Mardi Gras Indians parading the streets on Claiborne Avenue. On Mardi Gras day, you better get up extra early to catch the Skulls and Bones Krewe as they make their way around the neighborhoods. If you’re lucky, you may even spot some of the New Orleans Baby Dolls as they step out at daybreak. Note! Everyone here is extremely friendly and approachable. Ms. Gail down the street is always up for a chat! If you see her, please say good morning. In New Orleans, we talk to our neighbors!
Guest Access
Just a friendly heads-up about a few things: The neighborhood is full of friendly folks, including Ms. Gail down the street – she's always up for a chat. Don't hesitate to say good morning to her; we talk to our neighbors in New Orleans. I keep my place smoke-free, so smoking any products (tobacco, marijuana, etc.) isn't allowed. Guests found smoking inside the unit will be subject to a $250 cleaning fee. In line with my license, my place is set up for a maximum occupancy of two people. Please refrain from inviting unregistered guests to ensure we comply with the regulations. I have two exterior cameras to provide a street view for security measures.

Location
Keep this in mind: There are two bike rental racks about two blocks away. Lyft and Uber are always available, and it will cost you about $8-10 to get to the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, or City Park. If you're here for Voodoo Fest or Jazz Fest, I recommend walking to the Fairgrounds. I do it and it only takes about 20 minutes.
