Good to know

The Bienville Suite is clean and charming, furnished with vintage and modern decor. It's an ideal retreat for those looking for an enjoyable New Orleans adventure. This isn't a party place but a tranquil environment suitable for couples, friends, or solo travelers. Staying at Grey Gardens offers a peaceful escape from the lively atmosphere of the French Quarter while still being a stone's throw away. You can easily reach the French Quarter by foot from here; ust two blocks away is Esplanade Avenue, which leads directly there. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Also, don't forget to visit Lil' Dizzy's restaurant on your way – it's an excellent place for an authentic New Orleans breakfast! If walking isn't your preferred mode of transportation, Uber and Lyft are always available and typically just a minute away. A ride to the top tourist attractions like Frenchmen Street, Bourbon Street, and Jackson Square usually costs $8-$10. Additionally, two bike rental racks (with motorized assists) are located a few blocks away, providing a fantastic way to explore the city. These rentals operate on a pay-as-you-go basis and can be left anywhere inside the zone you rented them in. If you ride them home, you can lock them up on the sidewalk since it's the same zone. You can always expect top-notch hospitality and customer service from me during your stay at The Bienville Suite. In addition to a unique and affordable place to stay, you'll benefit from my extensive knowledge of the city. I'm well-equipped to offer tailored recommendations based on your vacation preferences. Should you prefer to plan your itinerary, that's perfectly fine, too. The City of New Orleans fully licenses this rental: STR License #22-RSTR-01614, Operator’s License #22-OSTR-01357, and employs people who live in the neighborhood. While staying at Grey Gardens NOLA, you support New Orleans's local economy.

Other Details to Note

1. The property has two private guest suites. 2. On holidays and special event days such as Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Voodoo Festival, New Year's Eve, Essence Festival, and others, the cleaning fee may be $125 instead of the regular fee. This depends on the condition the apartment is left in. Use of glitter will result in added cleaning costs as well. If applicable, the extra fees will be reconciled through the Airbnb Resolution Center. 3. I have a strict no pets policy due to several medically documented allergies. Anyone bringing animals onto the property is subject to a $250 cleaning fee and a $50 charge per day that the animal is on the property. Please do not bring animals onto the property. Additionally, due to my allergies, I have a waiver from Airbnb and do not accept any service animals, including "emotional support animals". 4. Smoking of any products such as tobacco, marijuana, etc., is not allowed inside the apartment. Anyone smoking in the unit is subject to a $250 cleaning fee. 5. According to my license, this property is for two-person occupancy only. Please do not bring unregistered guests. 6. For security purposes, there are two exterior security cameras on the home which provide street view only. 7. Neighborhood

This apartment is conveniently located just two blocks from the beautiful, tree-lined Esplanade Avenue. The location is unique and special due to its proximity to the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street (known for great music), and City Park. It's a great place to stay if you want to be close to the action without paying high hotel prices. Just an $8 Uber ride will take you to Frenchmen Street for a night of eating, singing and dancing! On Sundays, you can enjoy a huge block party at Kermit Ruffin’s famous Mother In Law Lounge, which is just four blocks away. If the Saints win, the party will be even bigger! There's also a funeral home around the corner, so you might witness a Jazz Funeral procession passing by the house, offering a unique cultural experience that many tourists miss. On Second Line Sundays during the season, things really heat up as the Social Aid And Pleasure Clubs of New Orleans host second lines to bring the community together. Look up "Second Line & New Orleans" to learn more. During Mardi Gras, you'll see Mardi Gras Indians parading the streets on Claiborne Avenue. On Mardi Gras day, be sure to get up extra early to catch the Skulls and Bones Krewe as they make their way around the neighborhoods. If you're lucky, you might even spot some of the New Orleans Baby Dolls as they step out at daybreak. It's worth noting that everyone in this area is extremely friendly and approachable. Ms. Gail down the street is always up for a chat! In New Orleans, we talk to our neighbors, so if you see her, please say good morning!
