Good to know
The Iberville is a charming and cozy hideaway furnished with vintage and modern decor. It's an ideal retreat for those looking for relaxing yet fun-filled New Orleans adventure. This isn't a party place but a tranquil environment suitable for couples, friends, or solo travelers. Staying at Grey Gardens offers a peaceful escape from the lively atmosphere of the French Quarter while still being a stone's throw away. Don't forget to visit Lil' Dizzy's restaurant around the corner – it's an excellent place for an authentic New Orleans breakfast! If walking isn't your preferred mode of transportation, Uber and Lyft are always available and typically just a minute away. A ride to the top tourist attractions like Frenchmen Street, Bourbon Street, and Jackson Square usually costs $8-$10. Additionally, two bike rental racks (with motorized assists) are located a few blocks away, providing a fantastic way to explore the city. These rentals operate on a pay-as-you-go basis and can be left anywhere inside the zone you rented them in. If you ride them home, you can lock them up on the sidewalk since it's the same zone. During your visit, you can always expect top-notch hospitality and customer service from me. In addition to a unique and affordable place to stay, you'll benefit from my extensive knowledge of the city. I'm well-equipped to offer tailored recommendations based on your vacation preferences. Should you prefer to plan your itinerary, that's perfectly fine, too. The City of New Orleans fully licenses this rental: STR License #22-RSTR-01614, Operator’s License #22-OSTR-01357, and employs people who live in the neighborhood. While staying at Grey Gardens NOLA, you support New Orleans's local economy.
Other Details to Note
On holidays and special event days such as Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Voodoo Festival, New Year's Eve, Essence Festival, and so on, the cleaning fee will be $125 instead of the regular fee -- this will be reconciled through the AirBnB Resolution Center after you book. I have a strict no-pets policy. I have several medically documented allergies. Anyone sneaking animals onto the property is subject to a $250 cleaning fee & $50 per day that the animal is on the property. In other words please don't do this! Additionally, due to my allergies, I have a waiver from Airbnb -- I do not accept any service animals including “emotional support animals”. Smoking of any products tobacco, marijuana, etc., is not allowed. Anyone smoking in the unit is subject to a $250 cleaning fee. As per my license, this is a two-person occupancy only. Please do not bring unregistered guests. As a responsible homeowner, I have two security cameras on the exterior of the home. This shows me a street view only. My cleaner's time is valuable. Anyone checking out late will be subject to a $100 late fee. Thank you for understanding.

Neighborhood
I am conveniently located two blocks of beautiful tree lined Esplanade Avenue. The location is also unique and special because it’s so close to the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street (where you really want to go to hear all the best music) and City Park. This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to all the action but not pay high hotel prices. $8 in an Uber and you’re on Frenchmen ready to eat, sing and dance all night! But wait, there's more! On Sundays you’ll see a huge block party at Kermit Ruffin’s famous Mother In Law Lounge which is located four blocks away. If the Saints win…it’ll be an even bigger one! Since we have a funeral home around the corner you may even witness a Jazz Funeral procession pass near the house. This is a unique cultural experience that many tourists do not get to see. During season, on Second Line Sundays things heat up. These second lines are hosted by the many Social Aid And Pleasure Clubs of New Orleans to bring the community together. Do a search for Second Line & New Orleans to learn more. During Mardi Gras and you will see Mardi Gras Indians parading the streets on Claiborne Avenue. On Mardi Gras day you better get up extra early to catch the Skulls and Bones Krewe as they make their way around the neighborhoods. If you’re lucky you may even spot some of the New Orleans Baby Dolls as they step out at daybreak. Everyone here is extremely friendly and approachable. Ms. Gail down the street is always up for a chat! If you see her please say good morning, In New Orleans we say talk to our neighbors!
Guest Access
Just a friendly heads-up about a few things: The neighborhood is full of friendly folks, including Ms. Gail down the street – she's always up for a chat. Don't hesitate to say good morning to her; we talk to our neighbors in New Orleans. I keep my place smoke-free, so smoking any products (tobacco, marijuana, etc.) isn't allowed. Guests found smoking in the unit will be subject to a $250 cleaning fee. In line with my license, my place is set up for a maximum occupancy of two people. Please refrain from inviting unregistered guests. I have two exterior cameras to provide a street view for security measures.
